Frequently Asked Questions &
Terms and Conditions
Let me answer your questions and put your mind at rest ahead of the special day
Can You Send Entertainers To My Chosen Venue?

Absolutely! We have our own stunning venue where you can celebrate or we can come to you! We started as a mobile party company and will always offer this service - whether at home, in your garden, a church hall soft play, bowling alley or trampoline park! Whatever the venue we can create something magical for you!

How far do you travel?

We are a Wirral based company but often travel to parties in Liverpool, Chester, North Wales and sometimes even further! Please note for parties further than the Wirral there will be a travel fee added to the booking to cover our performers fuel. Please send over a booking request to get a quote.
Can You Host The Party In A Park?

Yes! We are happy to host outdoors including in parks (just check if you need permission before hand). We advise you have a back up venue in case of wet weather* and do ask you to let us know in advance if the party will be outside so we can bring a blanket with us for story time and face painting so we keep our costumes pristine and bums dry!

*please ensure you have read our cancellation policy
Can we take photographs?

Of course! We’d love to see them as well, so if you would like, please send them to info@wishuponaparty.land, post them on our Facebook page, or to our Instagram.
Can I invite boys/girls to the party?
Absolutely! We do not discriminate at Wish Upon A Party. Our princess parties and superhero parties are for all children, regardless of age, gender, race, or disability. We will do our best to accommodate to your special requests and make sure each child feels included and has a special experience. We suggest an age range of 4-10 but feel free to invite whomever you choose to the party, and we will gladly include them in our activities!
How can I pay?

A deposit of 50% of the total party cost is required to secure a party booking. This is easiest paid via bank transfer. Our booking form will state our terms and will be emailed to you. There are a few ways to pay on the day, online via bank transfer before we arrive or cash on the day.
What if a guest arrives late?
We highly recommend setting a party start time of 15 minutes prior to the performers scheduled arrival. This way any latecomers should have arrived and everyone will be in the party venue ready for the characters grand entrance!

We work to a schedule and often a performer will have one party after another therefore late guests are welcome to join in upon arrival, but a character cannot backtrack to include latecomers (i.e. if face painting is already over and character has moved on to a new activity, the late guest will unfortunately not receive a face paint.) We thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

The performer will arrive 15 minutes before they are due to start to park their vehicle and will call you from their vehicle. Please have your phone on so you are able to go outside to meet the performer and discuss their grand entrance. This works best as a surprise for the children so keeping the kids inside and unaware is a must.
What happens if a guest becomes ill or misbehaves?
Wish upon a Party would like to make it transparent that we are entertainers, NOT childcare. Wish upon a Party is only responsible to entertain your party guests with the party themed activities. Please do not leave your children unattended with the character as our performers will not discipline them. A parent or host must take care of any behavior or health issue that a guest may have. We encourage the children to behave, but the hosts are responsible for monitoring and taking charge of children who are not behaving or who do not want to participate in the party activities.
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
Your booking with Wish upon a Party is confirmed when I have received your 50% deposit or full payment. If the party has not been paid for in full 24 hours before the party is scheduled Wish upon a Party reserves the right to cancel your booking and keep the 50% deposit. Because we are in high demand, this policy ensures that our time slots are only taken up by clients who plan to keep their appointment.
You may cancel up to 24hrs before the party. Cancellation will result in forfeiting your 50% deposit.
Any amount you have paid above the required 50% deposit is refundable if cancelled up to 24 hours before the party is scheduled.
Cancellation within 24hrs of the party will result in a charge of the total party cost.
In the event of bad weather, serious illness, riots, Act of God, or other unforeseen emergencies, we reserve the right to cancel the event. In this instance, your deposit would be returned to you. This is the ONLY exception to the non-refundable deposit. What can I do to help the performer make the perfect birthday party?
The following are a few tips to help the birthday party go off without a hitch!
1. Please have the contact phone powered on and near you when it is close to time for your chosen character to arrive, in case the performer has trouble finding the location and requires assistance to find the party. We ask all performers to arrive 15 minutes early to assure they are always on time!
2. Make sure the areas in which you will have the characters performing are not dirty, wet, or otherwise detrimental to the costumes they are wearing. Provide a space in which the character may sit or stand to lead the activities requested - if outside please let us know so we can bring a blanket or let us know if you have one.

For face painting the character will require one chair to sit in, and one chair for the child receiving the makeover. as well as somewhere to put their supplies, such as a table or stool.
3. The princess/superhero will often park down the street so that their "carriage" or "mobile" will not be seen by the children, but sometimes it's not possible to park very discreetly. If you don't want them to see our cars, we suggest keeping them away from the windows, etc when the performer is scheduled to arrive. By the same token, it's a good idea to distract the children when it is time for the performer to leave.
4. Please stay present with the children and character at the party should an issue arise.
Our characters often bring a bag with them to hold supplies and of course, keys and cellphones.
We do our best to be discreet with our 'ordinary human thingamabobs', however; please do not allow the children to dig through the bag, as it ruins the magic of the character and can cause the performer to become concerned they may lose those items and be unable to return to 'our kingdom'.
5. And last but not least, have your cameras ready throughout the party, you don't want to miss any special moments of your guests with our princesses and superheroes! We encourage you to take as many photos and videos as you would like and be sure to share on our Facebook!
